Victoria Falls, straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, is one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya — the Smoke That Thunders — it earns its name from the towering mist and thunderous roar created by the Zambezi River plunging over a 108-metre-high cliff. Stretching over 1.7 kilometres wide, it forms the largest sheet of falling water on Earth. Victoria Falls is not only a geological marvel but also a cultural and ecological treasure.
Victoria Falls Bridge
The Victoria Falls Bridge is a historic engineering marvel that spans the Zambezi River just below the iconic Falls, linking Zimbabwe and Zambia. Completed in 1905, the bridge was part of Cecil Rhodes's ambitious but unrealized Cape-to-Cairo railway project. Today it is a launch point for bungee jumping, the bridge slide and the flying fox — and one of the most photographed sunset spots in southern Africa.
Elephant Walk
The Victoria Falls Elephant Walk provides a unique, close-up experience with rescued elephants at the Wild Horizons Sanctuary, where visitors stroll alongside these gentle animals in a peaceful natural environment.
White water rafting
Zambezi white water rafting is one of the most thrilling river adventures in the world, set against the dramatic backdrop of Victoria Falls and the Batoka Gorge. Rafting the Zambezi means confronting legendary Class V rapids in a spectacular basalt canyon carved by the river itself.
Boma Dinner and Drum Show
The Boma — Dinner & Drum Show, located at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, is a premier cultural attraction. It offers a four-course meal featuring local braai meat and an array of campfire soups, alongside interactive drumming, storytelling and traditional dance performances.
Binga Beach
On the shores of Lake Kariba in Matabeleland North, Binga Beach is unique as Zimbabwe's only true sand beach. Its pristine waters, sandy shoreline and vibrant BaTonga culture offer fishing, boating, swimming and hot springs, along with craft markets and cultural tours that highlight BaTonga traditions.
